Privacy Policy
Last updated: 3 July 2026
This policy covers the ChartMyBaby iOS app. In short: we do not collect your personal information. Everything you enter into the app stays on your own device and, if you use iCloud, in your own private iCloud container. We have no servers, no analytics, and no way to see or export your data.
What the app handles
When you use ChartMyBaby, you can enter and store your child's name, date of birth, and sex, an optional photo, and the growth measurements you record (weight, length or height, head circumference, and the date of each measurement). The app also remembers your unit preference (metric or imperial).
That's it. The app does not ask for your name, your email address, your location, your contacts, your microphone, or any other information.
Where that information is stored
Your data lives in two places, both under your control. First, on your device, in the app's local database. Second, in your private iCloud container, if you are signed into iCloud and have iCloud Drive enabled. iCloud syncs your ChartMyBaby data across your own Apple devices — for example, your iPhone and iPad.
This iCloud container is operated by Apple, not by us. We, the developers, cannot access, read, export, or modify anything stored there. Apple's privacy policy and iCloud terms govern how they handle the data on your behalf.
Photos
When you add a photo of your child, the app uses Apple's system photo picker. iOS runs this picker in a separate process, and the app only receives the specific images you choose to select. The app does not have access to your wider photo library and does not request photo library permission. Photos you add are stored alongside your child's data in your device's local database and your private iCloud container.
Analytics, tracking, and advertising
The iOS app contains no analytics SDKs, no advertising, no crash-reporting services, and no tracking of any kind. This is declared in the app's Privacy Manifest (PrivacyInfo.xcprivacy) and reflected as Data Not Collected in the App Store listing.
For transparency: the ChartMyBaby website at chartmybaby.com uses Google Analytics for basic site-usage statistics and displays Amazon affiliate links on some pages. This policy covers the iOS app only; the website is a separate product.
Children's data
The app is designed for parents and caregivers to track their own child's growth. It does not create accounts for children, does not sign them up for anything, and does not share information about them with anyone. Because your child's data stays on your device and in your private iCloud, no third party — including us — ever receives it.
Deleting your data
You can remove data at any time. Delete a specific child or measurement from within the app, or delete the entire app to remove its local database. To remove the iCloud copy as well, use Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → ChartMyBaby → Delete Data from iCloud.
Because we have no access to your iCloud data, we cannot delete it for you — but you retain full control through the steps above.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change how the app handles data — for example if we add opt-in features that send anything off your device — we will update this policy, update the app's Privacy Manifest, and update the App Store listing accordingly. The Last updated date at the top of this page will reflect any changes.
